Exclamation Helpfull tips for stator install?

Hey guys

Im getting readying to put my stator on my gsxr 600 k6, but i wanted to know if I need to thread lock the bolts? And any good tips would be very helpfull. I dont get gasket sealer bc they told me if it was paper gasket i dont need it, is that true too?

yea i am and i have the torque spec, but should i thread lock the bolts?

I wouldnt unless the directions specifically tell you to. Usually a dry install is required. If the threads go into an oil galley, then it may be appropriate to prevent leaks through the bolts.

Yea it does not say to , but i saw online to on this link they used Thread lock.

The factory does a pretty good job in their instructions since they built it. Usually when using a gasket the suppression of the gasket pushes back force on the cover when the bolts are torqued; that prevents the bolts from walking back due to that little bit of thread stretch.
