Your going to need something like this.
You will need to make sure that your computer has either a S-video or RCA output.

Get a DVI to HDMI cable, plug in said computer to the HD Widescreen, and get a 8mm (Headphone jack) to RCA connector and plug in the PC to the surround sound system via the line output option. Or stop wasting time downloading the crappy AVI converted DVDs and just rent the DVD and play it on your real DVD player.

I have a tv-out on my video card. Cord goes out from the video card to a yellow/white a/v cord. You could then hook up an a/v exten cord. By theory it works, and you upgrade your video card so it looks better too. I lost my cord so I don't know if it would work. Look into it. I have a geforce 4 graphics card. GL

They make wifi boxes that you connect to your receiver. That is my quick answer... maybe I can find some links.

they make blue a blue tooth adapter for the pc and the reciever also for your music, with like a 300 foot range.

as far as the tv goes your best bet is just to get yourself and xbox 360 and then use media center ( excuse to get a 360 ) what i did was just put my laptop on the tv stand under the computer and hard wired it in,

the only way i can think of to keep the hd out put is the xbox though
