most intelligent thing posted in this thread so far.

anything posted by JUANTED takes the cake for dumbest....by far.

Term guilty by association comes to mind at least the ones that actually knew and hung out with these two particular guys. As stated before riding with one is one thing but actually being a "friend" and defend either one comes to question if that person has questionable intentions also. Just totally sad situation with one death and one in jail and ruining so many lifes all in a matter of seconds. It sucks and sure we all have made some stupid mistakes but dear lord learn from those mistakes and grow up.

NO...we dont give 2nd chances here. And we sure dont give 3rd chances. Lord knows, I have never had to use a 2nd chance and I am sure that most on here have not either. We dont make mistakes.

What I find ironic is that there is a pecking order it seems.

The guys that pay gift taxes on motorcycles instead of 6.25% are less criminals than the guys that drink and drive. And the guys that drink and drive are less of a criminal than the guys that smoke weed. The the stoners are better than the cocaine addicts. And the cocaine addicts are better than the burglars. and the burglars are better than bikes theives...and so on and so on.

Guess what? A sin is a sin is a sin. If you have drank and driven 3 times in your life you are a felon that has not been caught. Punishable by the same guidelines at unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

And I have seen MANY in this thread have more than a drink or two and hop in a car. More than 3 times.

By reading some of Slowbacks threads he sounds like he was a tallented rider. But that's where my praise for him will stop. I'm not going to rant but personally, I don't care to ever meet him. I'll say that to his face any day of the week. And I hope he spends the rest of his days in the pokey.

True that, speeders and murderers should be treated equally too.

explain the difference between that and consistently doing triple digits on public roads, and even bragging about doing so.

true, to the eyes of '' a sin is a sin is a sin...but in society, you scrape by on your first dui, and not so with theft over $500 , i'm not here judging anyone as others sure are, BUT I MYSELF HAVE BETTER JUDGEMENT and wouldn't be friends with such a person, i guess thats why i only hang out with kevin and blake really. a good example of what i mean is....you will not/would not ever see my kick it with k5

Well...the simpliest difference is that your 3rd conviction for drinking and driving is punishable by 2-10 years in a texas prison. Actually more severe than unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Again, I am not defending him. I am just saying that we are not much different. You may think you are but you are not.

We like to look down on others so that we can justify our behaviors. "well, I might habitually drive home drunk from the bar, but at least I dont steal motorcycles!" That kind of .

i agree to an extent... and in no way do i condone drunk driving, i don't even drink at all. but having said that, there are lots of instances where adrunk driver crashes and only hurts themselves or better yet, they make it home in 1 piece.... a theif ALWAYS involves another party. but where i don't waver at all is when you are caught for it... you should pay the penalty with no complaints however stiff the penalties are... afterall, you did make the choice.

and yes, there is a pecking order. it's called a class a, b, or c misdemeanor or a felony for a reason

I don't drink often and when i do i have a DD, and you can say we aren't much different, but the little difference is, I PAY for what i own, even if it's a clapped out 1987 ford f250 and a POS 01 f4i stunt bike.

um, yes i AM different. for starters, ive never stolen anyones bike, car, stereo, or what have you. nor have i EVER had a friend of mine get killed while running from popo and LEAVE HIM BEHIND TO SAVE MY OWN .

yes. im WAY fukcing different. there is no correlation between myself and the object of this thread. have i broken the law? sure. i do it every day. have i killed anyone doing so? gotten anyone killed and leave them there? nope.
