Highlands, 3 palms and splendora are all great tracks. Cycle Ranch has got to be the holy Grail of perfect motocross tracks and my all time personal favorite. If you are ever able to take a road trip to a track, go there. Dirt is amazing wet OR even dry. Track is really fast and flowing and it's a REAL motocross track.

As far as helpful tips I can give, grip the bike with your knees both on the track and in the air on a jump. You will be amazed at how much more control you will have over your bike as well as how much more endurance you will have. It takes alot of strain off of your hands and forearms. Also, remember to keep your elbows out for better control too. If you ever get into a tank slapper situation, especially coming into some braking bumps, you'll be glad you have them out.

Sorry if i sound like a broken record.

Hondarider, where have you been?! LMK when you go to SWMX, and usually, we can make it! I'll be hitting 3 palms in the coming weeks as well.

kdog, it's all good! Now I understand why my shoulders hurt more than my legs. lol All I've ridden so far was AZ trails a few years back. I'm just getting a feel for dirt and I'm trying to learn the basics! Thank you for the advice. It all helps.

Cycle Ranch is the one with the "Pro Section" in the back right? If so then yes, that track is the chit. Havnt been there in a long time. Last time I raced there was I think in a STC series. Over cleared the camel hump after the pro section during parctice and front wheel just stuck in the mud when I came down. Handlebar caught me and broke three ribs but I bent the out of it too so I guess we were even lol.
