Anyone know if there is something like this mini usb available stateside?

If not I guess I'll just eat the shipping costs on it later
I'm sure you could find something like that at Fry's. Or just open one of those car adapter mini-usb ones and mod it. Or get the car adapter mini-usb and one of those cigarette lighter connectors and do it that way.

No need to do eBay IMO.

I'm getting one of these too. I like buying these cheap Chinese gadgets, and , sometimes they work.

Things I liked about the GoPro HD:

-- rechargeable lithium-ion battery w up to 2.5 hours of recording
--supports up to a 32gb SD memory card
--waterproof, shockproof, you-name-it
--small and can be placed basically anywhere you can stick a mount to

And you can get the HD for $213 shipped

By the way everyone, I bought two of those keychain cameras. I'll let you know what they're like when they come in. Hopefully be here before the next track day.

My Gateway FX laptop edits 720/60 from the Go Pro with no problems at all. Same with 1080. Now my FX is a gaming beast, but it's certainly not the best out there.

Use VLC media player to play back the native files from the camera. It puts much less load on the processor than WMP or the like. I use Sony Vegas Home Studio for editing and it works perfectly.
