I want to play on RR this Friday!

It's closer to home than the Forest, sounds more promising than Crabb, and I'll never learn to lean left if I don't leave the clover leaf.

Johnny? Ares? PM please?

Afternoon Racers ???

OK... so I've heard of armchair quarterbacks... but apparently we're a bunch of afternoon racers... SWEET!!!

I'll be home from campus around 1:30 and can be at a meet spot by 2pm... Let' it at 2 and make a local short route... I'd rather follow than lead since my cornering still needs work, but I know the area pretty well... The best curves are on 1458 west of pattison and north of I-10... and on 362 north of brookshire and again just south of waller... Just google map it and you'll see what I mean. I have a little optimized route I like that includes an ice house and a gas station if we want to stop every couple of laps. I'll be trying out my new fuel map, so no laughing it backfires more than usual... LOL

Friday Ride

OK... Ares, ShimanoGirl... Bevo and I rescheduled for Friday... meet us at the Shell station on 1093 and Main in Fulshear at 2pm sharp... better to be Early than late, and please text me Friday to confirm you're coming to ride. I'll be the fat guy on the blue street fighter shoving a sandwich in his face...

Not sure what kind of pace we're going to set up... may take turns leading ... but by all means... if it's too fast, then slow down. Nobody is going to get all hurt if we have to ride a little slower for anyone who feels overwhelmed... it's why I like this group. Bevo mentioned "spirited" riding but not "aggressive"... so I'm guessing faster than the speed limit but not the "fast group" pace... probably between the turtles and the mid range riders... like 10-30 mph faster than the speed limits posted... I'm going to be practicing my body positioning in turns at speed... but obviously I'm not going to push it to the point where I may hi-side... On the track maybe, but not on this highway... too many signs and fences.

Anyway... that's the idea... hope i didn't blather on too much... just wanted to see if we were all on the same page...

All you guys gotta do to get a group for RR is just post a ride... If I'm not busy I'll ride... but I have to work on my truck for the next 4 weekends (or until it's put together) so I'll have my 4wheeled cage to take to Tennessee this summer... it's easier than trying to carry my guitar on my SV for 14 hours. LOL

Saturday morning, meet at 10am, ride RR for a couple of hours then take the back roads to 290 and head to Hooters for lunch.
Anyone know of some good back roads to take north from Brookshire to 290?

Ooooh OOOHH OOHHH I DO I DO I DO I DO !!!! LOL

OK... so from brookshire, go north on FM 362... It takes you to Waller and 290... there are some really cool curves by the little airport, and then it's flat and boring... and then some more CRAZY curves (like killer sick curves) when you're 2/3's of the way to Waller... then it's a boring jaunt down 290 to the hooters... There really aren't any cops to look for on 362 untill you get to Waller... then go straight through that town and mind your manners because those cops are male sexual appendages... BIG TIME!!!

Google map it so you can see what I'm talking about... it's the most fun between brookshire and 290... 359 is ok, but there's too many slow downs and too much traffic...

Cheers

Did you guys hit 1489 south of I-10? It has better curves than RR. You guys may see my Ninja in the AM.

you mean Fulshear? i personally like Brookshire a lot better with 13 turns each way, fulshear is nice but too short with only 5 turns.
