Who speaky the japanese??

ok, so's I've aquired a real war flag from WWII and its a japanese prayer flag that has a bunch of writing, supposedly it says the young soldiers name and it has messages all over it from well wishers and family members. I need someone to interpret it please. It was taken in the field of battle so, supposedly this young man didnt make it and I wonder if the family can even be found and contacted.
I also have an authentic German officers sword, with ruby lions eyes and swastika etc.
aquired these at a local klan meeting j/k

ok, look at the first pic you posted. to the far right, in the big letter it states (the first character) gift (the second the the third characters are the last name) Kiga (the fourthe and the fifth characters are the first name) Tesuo. and the last character represents the word like 'dear' or 'dearest' or something like that.

if you are serious about getting this flag translated, let me know. it is a lot of work.

sure I'm serious about getting it translated, why not? I wouldnt think it would be a lot of work. I thought it would be easy reading to a Japanese fellow, kinda like reading old english writing would be for me.
That is cool you got the guys name out of it, would be sweet to have it all figured out.
I'm guessing by saying its a lot of work , means you are using a translater program?
when you say far right big letters, the ones going down or to the center?
