MaxGs Video - Ty, CDill, Jimmy and others

I have a video from TWS (Texas World Speedway) this past weekend that shows some fun stuff. Early on a bit of CDill being chased by another racer, and then Ty blows by. Jimmy comes along (at about 2:34 in the video) and I turn up the wick to try to catch up. Finally manage to pass him when he gets snarled in traffic. Then we went back and forth a couple of times. You can hear his exhaust, he's so close, at several points. Good fun. I finally blew turn 8 and missed a shift. That was all she wrote... he blew right by.

Video quality is still improving.... will be 720x480 when it finishes.

Oh yes, take special note of the brakes. I think my max brake pressure is about 100 psi. Lame. I'm just not getting on the brakes well right now.

Racer guys, I'd appreciate comments on all the movement I have on the rear of the bike. Is it the same as your bike? Comments, pls.

Still working on setup. Ohlins sent me a new setup and recommendations. I also spent a lot of time in the shop with Patrick on Saturday. It delivered some good results. The bike is rideable now.

SOrry I can't comment on what you would like to hear, but I have a question.

What program are you using to track those stats?

I use a data acquisition system called a RacePak g2x to get the data. I use a camera called a pov.1 for the video. And then a software package called TrackVision to pull it together. TrackVision provides widgets and a toolkit to build the overlay, so that's custom.

I miss TWS (Texas World Speedway).
I'd really like to try something like what you're using to find where areas that need improving.
Great stuff.

Buy a go pro HD. The image is outstanding. Sound is still not the best, but wow what great pics.

Have you checked out the price on the Racepak? Not exactly giving that thing away either lol. But very cool to see the info pulled off of it, and the rider to rider comparisons as well. I just don't really have a need for it since I'm not fast, maybe a couple years :p
