Aprilia paint/powder coat scheme recommendations

So I already had a thread posted about how my 2008 Aprilia Tuono was sprayed with solvent by some dumb contractor that ruined the finish on everything and the bike may or may not be totaled. I also was considering buying a new bike with the insurance money, but have been thinking of another option. I am now thinking that maybe I will take the money and get the bike back and do a custom paint and powder coat job. So powder coating the frame, swingarm, wheels, pegs etc. and painting the tank and the tail. Does anyone have any suggestions on a really cool color scheme?

I always like pearl colors. Like that 06 CBR600RR orange tribal or the 08 Duc 848. Even the 09 R6. Anyway, have you looked at the white scheme of the 09 RSV4? It looks pretty good.

As always, you have great options on MH for them to pain the bike. Alrova and Tony a.k.a Houseofpain to name two.

I really like the pearl rsv4 with the black frame and rims. I was maybe thinking black rims, frame, swing powdercoated with semi-gloss black. Tail, chin fairing, and tank in a pearl with a really really light tan or almond color. On the tank have the Aprilia lion heads on each side. Carbon front and rear fenders (already have the rear). Or maybe have the frame and such done in that grey color previously mentioned. I need some photoshop assistance if anyone is really bored and is up for it.

This sounds pretty sweet.
Would be a lot easier to sell down the road if you did something subtle like that.
Gold wheels look nice on a white bike also.

your bike is gorgeous stock, and in my opinion it will greatly devalue your bike. If it was a bike then by all means, but such a nice piece would be a shame to change. My opinion means , but your bike is not an everyday type of bike. my .02 cents

That was my idea. Almost like the Ducati Paul Smart GT1000LE now that I think of it, I'd stay away from a white frame as these things get dirty and especially around misc. grease and wheel bearing grease and chain grease being flung, unless your bike is immaculate and only a garage queen, you'll be taking a backpack full of cleaning stuff with you.

Yeah, that's why I wouldn't want to do something to outrageous. I wanted to do something subtle that looks like it may have come from the factory that way. They do the lion's head on the Factory model, and I know a guy who perfectly replicated a Factory gas tank so I figured I could make some slight changes to the design and colors and it would just look like some special edition Tuono and cost a lot less than buying a brand new gas tank ($2,500 + shipping from Italy). I want it to look more like this bike but with a pearl light almond and black scheme or just a pearl white and black scheme with some modifications to the lion's head.

I would like to take the time to tell everyone what another horrible job eximport is doing. I dropped my bike off 5 days ago and they haven't even looked at it. I don't know what I was thinking, I should have sent it to New Braunfels to have it looked but decided to give them one more chance and they never fail to disappoint. The adjuster is supposed to be there tomorrow morning and the conversation will be, "So what kind of damage has been done"..."I don't know" "Well how much will it cost"..."I don't know"..."Well what do you know"..."NOT A THING"..."Maybe I should come back next week when you pull your head out of your "
