There are boys, men, and kings of men.

CoachDave would have ever admitted himself the latter but all whom know him would argue complacency.

Cheers Dave.

Pics posted later. Got on the road and realized the bonnet spot off 2854 so we booked it. Got their at dusk. I lost it there but that's what this ride was for, sharing memories, some laughs, break downs, road side repairs, many tears from the eyes of grown men but of all comradery between us all and the feeling with our brother that has ridden on.

The field took me by surprise too. The sun setting just as we arrived. The bonnets were much more scarce - as if they knew. But the ones that were there - perfect. I took one bonnet and placed it at his corner. We stood there and had a drink with him. It was in so many ways a perfect ride and at the same time one of the worst.

Pleasure riding with everyone. The forest at night is peaceful - to the point of being dangerous. But it was handled flawlessly. Sometimes the stars were just a bit too much distraction - beautiful. Rookies was alive for a monday night, but dead to us. Coach's Crown N Coke sat in the middle of the table. Another toast. We'll do it again next year - and it will hurt just the same. Never forgotten.

Very well put.

I was originally going to order one for everyone but after I asked for the first I lost all desire to drink it when I though about CD.

I was gonna put up pics last night but I had a friend that needed an ear; today I desided I'll make a short vid w pics. Been a very long time I've done that.

like last years flowers were so plentiful for a reason. like it was his day to ascend. i could only hope it could be so perfect for any of us on the day we die. it was the best and worst memory all in one. i'll never forget. i looked at cali and said "i dont guess this is your first rodeo." he shook his head no. i dont think anyone could have known he would'nt make it off the side of the road. i just had a feeling, that that day would be, my first rodeo. i only hope it to be my last

Here are some pics I took from my phone. Yes, the sunset was perfect as we came up on the blue bonnet field. You couldn't ask for a better setting. It was a quiet ride, and I'm sure it allowed everyone riding to think and contemplate on Coach Dave and how he affected the community in such a positive way. I'm glad he watched over us on the ride and made sure we all got home safe. Always remembered and never forgotten, Coach Dave.
