Im a Firm believer in wear all the gear, atleast always the helemt. But I think "mostly" everyone here including myself has rode to the corner store or around their neighborhood w/o the jacket. I mean lets be honest fellas. Its definately not recomended, but we don't always do whats best for us. I say dress for the occasion, depending on what it is, thats the amount of protection you should wear. Any thing much faster than you can run with both feet, ya prolly wanna cover up all the skin that you wanna keep.

Well, all I have to add is that I had a lowside at 30 mph and had on leather jacket and gloves and a helmet, boots--but only blue jeans. My ankle still hurts if I jog and my knee is still giving me probs.Got burned through the jeans from sliding on the road. Its been 6 months. I was just going around the neighborhood and thank there wasnt any other vehicles involved. So, broken rear turn signal and scuffed fairings on the bike. easily repairable. But if I didnt have on that jacket I could imagine what the arm would look like..So its up to you to wear your gear. I will be wearing mine, hot or not.

Well since I basically work outside, I'm used to sweating so when I'm on the bike I don't really feel too bad.:icon_bigg
