i got my 06 R6 with a full system on it.

Need Louder Exhaust
Need Louder Exhaust

i dont like how quiet it is i want it way louder partly cos i love loud exhausts and partly cos i want cars to hear me when i'm around them. 3 women switch lanes into me last weeek.

is there anyway to modify this? maybe change the can to something louder?

if not, whats the loudest exhaust system for a 06 R6?

Take the rivets out, remove the baffle, then re-rivet it.

Screw the loud factor

A certian amount of back pressure is need for optimun perfromance, back pressure = less loud.

If you want to be part of the if you can't be fast be loud crowd go buy a Harley

good to know i have a [-]stalker[/-]fan

i did ride in shorts and, shirt, helmet and gloves today, if that makes your life uneasy, go kick rocks. my bike, my money, my life.

and feel free to answer the question, if a driver talking on their phone does not see your headlights or tail lights, how likely are they to see a non-black helmet?

theoretically, you are safer with a colored helmet than a black one but when u include real life factors like a distracted driver not hearing or seeing you at night when you have your lights on(hopefully you have your lights on) the color of your helmet dont mean nothing.

in summary, 3 female drivers did swithc lanes into my lane last week without looking while i was slowly cruising beside them(i usually avoid being beside cars for that fear) but in slow moving traffic, you dont always get a chance to move from beside them everytime). due to that, i want a louder exhaust

now, if you have a suggestion for a louder exhaust, let me hear it, if not go start a new thread on the squid you saw on a 'busa today.

i think that sums it up for me.

oh, and btw, i am learning to ride and to the best of my knowledge, i can only do that by riding which i did today in shorts and a polo shirt. does that hurt your feelings?

riding skill is not equal to gear you have on so you Click image for larger version

here's a hint from an experienced rider vs yourself, stay outta their blind spot and don't ride next to them, prob. solved, no loud obnoxious power draining exhaust.

no worries man, i've seen literally thousands of riders like you come and go ovrt the yrs......no skin of my back, your's maybe......

lol, real life......i've been riding/commuting in real life for nearly 10yrs.........vs your inet riding for a few months.

well, i'm guessing you dont typically ride your bike at its performance maximum so what is this fast you speak of? i commute with mm bike, i dont drag or road race so i'm not looking to shave .10 seconds of ,my 1/4 mile or laptime.

so your point is?

oh and i think i still have the right to ride whatever bike i want and make it as slow as possible so why do you care? why does it bother you?

i dont remember saying i was looking for more performance

you don't like when people your thread out, do you?

I'm not the stupid chick that ran in your lane, I watch out for bikers when I'm cagin' it. I genuinely care for bikers, that's why I encourage gear. it's obvious you don't care about anything but people hearing you.

well, you might be an experience rider but obviously not a very experienced reader. i also drive so i am fully aware of the dangers of being in a blind spot. i commute with my bike so sometimes i'm going to end up beside someone at a light who decides to switch lanes without looking.

if it does not bother you, i am lostt on how you could take it so personal.

if it does not bother you, i cannot comprehend how you end up tracking my post or how you come back checking on this post.

obviously you care about me.

now if you'ld take your genius elsewhere, i'ld like some useful contribution to the subject of gettting my exhaust louder.

and if getting my exhaust louder bothers you so much, get a sharpie, draw an X on the wall and hit your head on it continuously. that should keep you off this thread.

driving a tank like yours in the blind spot is nothing like riding a bike in the blind spot, thank you and come again!

care about you.....nothing could be further from the truth i could care less what happens, like i said, you'll come and go just liek thousands before. but what i care about is the stupid info you're giving as if you had a clue, which you don't.

even when you ride the safest, there is always that one car/person that don't see you, no matter if you are no speeding or been safe.
sometimes having a loud exhaust help for people hear you coming and pay better attention to you.
i ride city most of the time and i been in so many closed calls before my bike had a exhaust, now that it sounds louder they see me coming and better yet, they hear me coming. yeah... i been riding for 2 years and been in two accidents, one where the driver that hit me fail to yield to incoming traffic on a corner and i was going home from work like at 630 at night, and the other one i lost control of my friends bike.
SO ILL SAY DO WHAT THIS GUYS SAID...^^^SAFE RIDING TIPS. AND GET YOUR SELF SOMETHING THAT WOULD LET OTHERS KNOW THAT YOU ARE COMING.....
