WTF? you people act like houston weather is predictable. I have lived here all my life.... plan for everything and expect nothing. If you don't like it, wait a little bit and it will change.

I agree but that doesn't mitigate the fact that they are wrong a large percentage of the time if it isn't completly obvious what the weather is going to be.

I don't mind it if it is going to rain, I understand if they can't be 100% possitive if and when it's going to rain.

But if there is a chance it'd be nice if they said there was.

Whoa whoa whoa slow down on the finger pointing. Being a weather forecaster myself the civilian wx folks on the news cover a huge area that they forecast. When they use percentages it's the percent that that whole area will see rain. But somewhere in thAt forcashing area did see some rain whether it was a light shower or even a down pour but not all of us got rain. When they say 50%+ of rain it's usually because it's a huge line of tstorms produced by a cold front so that in fact u will be able to get.

But with these 10-30% forcast it's just afternoon showers that pop up randomly from the influx of moisture from the gulf with a southerly wind. There is no way in to predict where a small rain shower will occur, there is only an area where the instability is there for it to happen.

Also it didn't rain last nite....that is from all the moisture from the southerly wind overnite and with the cooling of nitetime causing it to condensate on the ground.... Wx forecasters and meteorologists have a very difficult job pleading everyone because of these common misconceptions
sorry for the spelling I'm on my phone

I rode in this morning because I was relying on the weather channel app on my phone. In it's defense, it's been somewhat accurate about 80% of the time, lol. But yup, I got soaked coming into work but I still had more fun riding in the rain than I would have caging it. I just thought April Fool's was 3 days ago and I wasn't aware the weather channel app still apparently thought it was the 1st.
