Me and Manuel just came back from Columbus picking up his SV1000 from the storage place..... total bill was $693.25! They charge $200/hr base plus an additional $4 per mile, $100/hr waiting time and $75 for man power... oh yeah and $100 for clean up!

I think i am in the wrong business........

son-of-a-

I wonder if the State Trooper would have allowed him to call for roadside assistance to pick up the bike like I have with Progressive

If anyone on here is interested... I recommend "AAA". For about $150 a year, you get 3 free tows per year and they'll pick your bike up and take it anywhere you want within 250 miles from the site of the accident or breakdown. They'll bring 5 gallons of gas, or jump start you, pull you out of the mud (if you're stuck in a ditch), etc. And you can add extra vehicles for like another $25/per. It's SOOOO worth it. I had to use mine twice last year... once for my pickup when the tranny cooler line blew out and once for the accident on my SV (when that drunk driver decided red lights were optional). I was really glad in both occasions that I had the option.

Unbelievable. ***s were sitting on their porch drinking Koolaid, making no money, when they got the call. Then want to charge $100.00 for waiting while they strapped the downed rider in the ambulance.

Scum bag wrecker drivin vultures. Can't stand them.

Glad to hear you're doing OK. Did they end up flying you out in a chopper like they said wanted to?

Holy that's a ludicrous amount of money for a tow. Did the tow company have his gear with them? The EMTs wouldn't take it so it was the only option.

No chopper, they just took them to the hospital on the ambulance.

Yes they had his jacket, helmet and 1 boot on top of the bike when we picked it up.

[QUOTE=Johnny77423;2481971]Did your SV survive??? If you decide to part it out let me know... I'm on a few of the SV specific boards and can hook you up with folks that will jump on it like a fat kid on a donut.

Believe it or not my SV is in better shape that day than I am... i think i break it's fall instead the other way around lol..it just have some scratches and scrapes nothing serious.
Yea i'm thinking of selling it soonish. I really love it the bike, it bonded with me like crazy lol love the smooth riding the sv gives and handle. I'm having a hard time parting with it myself lol.

Every time i take it out for a ride i go back and give it a deep clean bathe the next day...

Anyway if u want more info about it or know someone who is interested let em hit me up. The bike has 6K miles when i bought it i put on another 6kish so its at 12600 miles at the moment.

general info:
03 SV1000S
12600 miles
yoshi exhaust
custom fairings
blue color

my cell is 713-518-5873
my name is Thanh

thanks johnny for spreading the word...
