h2447intx -- tx mile runs with some pics

how did i do ??????????????????????????????????

not to bad for my first EVER race event, i have no exp for raceing at all, never did a track day never did the drags !

i know i was not launching like the proes and i think i could have tucked a little better , and i may have short shiffted a bit but the best i ran this weekend was 184.7,

ok so ill explain ,

run #1 sat 10:58am, no quickshifter , so i was one finger clutching it and well i dont think it hit all the gears couse when i went threw the trap i looked it said 4th gear! it was 171.6

run #2 sat 2:43pm`, got the shifter hooked up and well it was set realy sencitive , it worked great but my foot kept bumping the shifter lever and it kept killing the ingn.

run #3 sat 4:44 moved the shift lever up in hopes o not hitting it and killing the bike , it made it a littel harder to hit the gears but it worked , i did miss a gear and i think i bliped it one time on this run , ran a 184.7

so sunday was cool and dry and the wind was not to bad at 8am but we dont start till 9 so it picked up a little not to bad ! any how the night befor i talked to greg the guy i bought my shifter from and he told me it has a sencitivity switch.

first think i tweaked the switch to the point i can get all the slack out of the shift lever , basicly just starting to load the lever befor it activates , works so much better and no bobles !

so sunday run #4 9:31 am, 184.2 the wind was not to bad but you could feal it on the big end !

run #5 last run for me ! wind picked up i wouldsay 10-15mph , cross wind , got a better launch, and i realy thought i would hit 185, it was a realy good run , 3/4 track you could deff feal the wind a little lean and the bike had some shake to it , but i still though "YES 185 FOR SURE "

NO ! last run 180.7 :(

so with the wind just getting worse and my lack of exp in raceing i fig i was not going to get any better , so i packed up a little early and came home. im happy for now my first ever race and i ran a 184.7 not to bad !

i think ill hit up our track a little more to get some launching skills ! lol

any how that is how i did !

the woman on the busa , i think her name is jen, she was running in the 229 area! i was talking to her today and she said her brakes are gone so no more go if no more stop you know any how !

the pics of the busas, thas ZXALEN and GOT-BUSA on the right !

How in the world did you have the time to take a picture of your speed while you were traveling close to 180mph?!

I was more concerned with your temp being maxed out while it was pegged. Glad to know it was the speedo healer function. Congrats on the first trip.

yea more time would have been nice , almost like work not a vaca !

hey josh , i am looking at putting my bike on the dyno at goe's in angleton just to double check that teh rev limiter is set at 11.2k and to do a top speed run , make sure the 6th gear speed limiter is removed , , i think its is all good but as you know i have not gotten it up to speed so i just want to double check to be sure it will get over 186!

im going to look in to all the tuneing and data loggers and such, got to learn you know !

thanks

That would be awesome if you can run her to red-line in 5th and 6th gears on the dyno. Based on my logs I don't feel the restriction is being removed but a few are a little hesitant to believe it. Based on seven of my runs shutting down at 188mph (10,200rpm), I wouldn't be surprised if you had a similar problem with the ECU.

It would prove a lot if I'm not the only one that experienced the issue. Maybe it's the latest software update that is the problem or maybe something else entirely...

I cant see going 186+
on the dyno. I would try 2004 and see if it cuts at 10.2 in top gear.
