question for ZX10 transmission internals

alright well the inevitable finally happened. my fourth gear has been slipping since i dont know when and i was just waiting for something to go out. well i was at the bike shootout in angleton yesterday and made one pass then fourth gear shot me the middle finger. my question is does anyone on hear know where i can find an overhaul kit. i can find each indiviual part but im wanting like a complete race internal kit. also im contemplating gettin the gears undercut possibly. any help is greatly appreciated. you can get ahold of me here or just text me. 979-583-6404. thanks

Andrew

If the fourth gear was slipping wouldnt it be the clutch?

If you heard noise or the transmission was chattering/not holding gear/etc then the transmission is a concern as well as the rest of the engine since the oil is pumping metal through it.

Andy, pull the motor, split the cases and take out the whole tranny, put it in a box AS IS and complete. Ship it to Fast By Gast or R&D Transmissions and have them go through it. The can fix what is damaged, undercut it and you will get it back bead blasted, new bearings/seals etc. About $400 but you won't have this problem again. Sucker will shift like butter and never miss shifts. Also put in new shift forks for sure and maybe shift shafts depending on how straight they are. Fix it right the first time and be done with it.

What Allen said, I have used R&D for my race transmissions and in fact I am fixing to send another one to him, they are the best I have found, and of course heard good things about FBG, they also like R&D do lots of high HP dragbike transmissions and know there chit, nothing else holds up in my cartire dragbike, billet shafts, gears, etc
