Red-light cameras go up by mid-July

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/3947770.html

Get prepared for this everyone! I'm just letting you all know it's coming and they will send you the ticket in the mail. Other States have been doing this for years. Now Houston.

+1
Even when I'm at a red light and it turns green, I give it a sec and look both ways. You never know when a dumb fool from the intersecting street tries running a red light.

Yeah we all know what the right thing to do is but I always have a B plan just in-case.

Like tonight for example coming home down 59 S/W right over close to Kirby.
(3:00am)
Mexican male 25 yrs. lying out in the middle of the freeway DEAD. I stop right before I come up on him to check his vital signs. What happened? He ****ed up and made 1 bad move and got ejected (no seat belt). The car lost control but never flipped. What caused him to fly out of the car was he nailed the back end of a 18 wheeler and that caused him to eject. All the EMS and HFD could do is load him and clean the scene. Everyones face was BLANK like no biggie. I really wondered why I didn't feel anything either. Tired I guess and seeing these accidents every morning on the freeway. I always end up controlling the scene of accidents and here it sounds like I really want everyone to run REDS. Point I'm making is that were all accountable for our actions.

Don't run red lights everyone, you could end up killing people or killing yourself. But I'd still put photoblocker on my plates if I knew the City was taking pictures with electronic cameras. (FACT)

I wonder how it will work if the light will not change for a bike?
As it stands now if the light won't change within a reasonable time u can treat the light as not operating correctly and treat it as a 4 way stop.
BUT will this then trigger the ticket maker?
can see it now trying to defend it in court.
have heard that the spray stuff is outlawed for use in most states but some cycle mags still sell it. just don't get caught spraying it on your plate i guess.
