Talking 3 Sistas, 1 Day Forest Gnome Group Ride 5.01.10

The 3 Sisters and Back, approx 12hrs total and 6-800miles depending on route.

KSU 9am @ Hooters 1960/i45 or catch on the way.

Qualifications: Bike has to be in good working order: Tires at least 50%, chain good, brakes good, no leaks. Wear the gear you would plan the ambulance to pull off of you Rider fully rested, capable of doing long rides(you will get sore, and you have time to practice beforehand.)

Only stops are for gas based on the lowest MPG rider. Bring a camelback and sugar if you need it.

You have to be a regular rider with us, approved by EVERYONE going not just the OP, confident to ride at a respectable pace to your own ability and not go over your head. A wreck out there will fk up everyone's weekend.

Plan the whole day off, including the following day if there are problems.

Expect at least 8 gas stops(it will be pricey.)

ICE, tire repair kit, insurance and clean records highly recommended.

Group size limit: 10 bikes unless others are more comfortable.

1. Cali (my bday ride)

All riders will offer up ICE information and copies will be given to each rider.

I highly recommend taping the info to your helmet also, copies in your pockets.

Bring some Water Weld and I would reccomend the tires having at least 80 percent tread. Those Hill Country roads are like sand paper.

The whole road is gravel They stick very well though. That in turn wears your tires out very quickly.

Just long enough to gas up; no de-gearing. We will have rest stops in Bandera before the first sista, then before we head North at the last gas station.

I dont have a prob w anyone on the list. When we get to ten, everyone will be PM'ed the whole list and asked to return a PM if they have any issues w another rider or concerns. I'll address it discreetly not publically.

to the general:

No BS if you're putting your name on the list; make sure you can ride these distances and without acting stupid and wrecking please.

The idea of the ride is to 1) cover the distance safely as a group, 2) experience the roads, 3) complete the whole ride safely.

I will leave someone to continue my ride if they end up doing something stupid for the sake of trying to convince everyone else they are cool. Accidents are a different story. Remember, you arent just around the corner if something goes wrong out there.

Thanks.
