A lot of the elevation on the HOV lanes is where vehicles merge into the HOV. A car could have not seen him and tried to merge. I always slow way down to make sure they see me. Just a hunch but I can see how it could happen.

WAS NOT ON HOV

i was in my truck when they paged it out...

59 exit ramp, and 610.

not 100% on all the details, but i know they had 5 units over there and shut down the ramp for a good hour.

The young man's name was Ian, his screen name was chris514scott. He was hit from behind when he slowed for a turn on the HOV, and was forced over the wall. The man that hit him left the scene. Ian fell onto 59 and was run over (legs). He's completely recovered now.

Last year a young man (I do not know) was taking a turn too fast on an onramp and his 'new' tires skid and the bike hit the wall and he went over - he did not make it.

This is the first I've heard about the accident this morning of somebody falling. I haven't seen anything else on the web, either.

My buddy was riding his GSX-1000 59 North toward downtown and some car cut him off and made him go into the Louisianna Exit instead of straight on 59. The bridge was sharp and his front tire hit at the right angle and he rode it over. The bike exploded in to pieces on impact and he land on a patch of grass/dirt 2 ft from pavement. HE broke his pelvis colar bone, and about 4 other bones. Def lucky to be alive. While we were in the hospital it showed his wreck on the news then right after it showed someone else doin the same exact thing an hour later but he landed on the pavement and didn't make it. It does happen more than we think

His name was Chad. He was riding with "Costas" at the time. What appeared to be a bedpost/4x4 was in the middle of the exit ramp. Costas was able to get around it but Chad didn't see it till last second and it forced him into the guardrail and went over.

they had just finished installing chain and sprockets [not a new tire] so I have been told, leading to a short ride...
