Bike(s):
03 CR125 HRC bike. FOR SALE

****New build (CR125)****

I have decided to build the CR125. This bike has some "pedigree" or history behind it. Triple clamps, cases, frame, etc. all have HRC stamped into them.

The VIN shows no registration.

I will be doing a frame up build on it.

I will update post with pics and info as I build it.

Here is the start of it. Please excuse the mess.

Yea, actually this one is a 144. HRC did some trick porting and case work on it too. I was very lucky to get my hands on it.

I miss my old '03 CR125. I had it forever and was the best bike i've ever owned.

I love 2 strokes and their power and how they are so easy to work on compared to 4 strokes

Haha, yea. I wish I had that much free time. I was busy with other bikes all day.
I may get back on CR tomorrow or Monday.

Now that the frame completely cleaned I found some very interesting info stamped on bottom.

HRC
11-2-02
S . LAMSON
08847 (same number stamped through out the bike). Cases, frame, clamps, exhaust, swingarm, etc.

I dont think Lamson was racing much in 03 but it could have been a HRC built practice bike for him.

Whatever the case may be, I am very lucky to have it even though it was a basket case and in boxes.

Yea, for sure.

I dipped the cases today so I can get the motor together.
It is a good thing the crank is in good shape. Otherwise I would be kind of stuck.
Apparently, HRC used a +2mm rod on it. The deck clearance is super close.

I should have more pics up tomorrow (29th)

Got the tranny back for being re-coated. It was done with nitride. Super strong and smooth.

Frame after it was cleaned.

Triple clamps after anodizing was done (they are darker than pic shows0

Linkage on frame (linkage anodizing was redone same as before. Has a flat finish on them)

Works pipe. I assume Donnie Elmer Sr. built it himself. It has his signature ingraved on it.
