pics of my 929rr drag bike project

im completely redoing my bike from the ground up, everything painted or powder coated, all new bearings everywhere, garrat 52mm turbo, dyno tune nitrous kit w/purge, stretched, lowered etc. I ended up selling the original turbo i had planned for the bike and got a little smaller one. which i am fabricating the headers right now for the turbo. i have a spare 929rr engine that i am about to send to a shop to be built up with forged internals, bigger cams, and ported heads. i ordered gloss black 954 fairings and am putting them on when i recieve them, im not finished with the bike yet but here it is so far...

i never got a chance to run it at a track, i stunted it for a while and then decided to build it for the strip so i started tearing it down..

there not that much. an the money you will save in the long run will be worth it because extensions are not save, i know because i use to have them. you can get a light weight drag racing swing arm for around 500 bucks but if you wanna be cheap about it then atleast get the extensions welding on

what brand extensions did you use? the cheap no name ebay ones are the ones you have to watch out for. Ive used two different sets of extensions on two different bikes, roaring toyz and myrtle west ones, and ive had no issues whatsoever with them. the roaring toys brand ones i had on my 750 worked excellent for me, the mounting bolts never even loosened up on me at all with countless passes down the dragstrip, but I used loctite and torqued them down properly. Same with my myrtle west extensions i have on my 1000.

But personally, if i was building a turbo or nitrous bike, i would go a full swingarm,

If you can afford to build a turbo bike, you should budget some money and buy the swingarm first!

But thats just my opinion, its your bike and your life!!!!

i ordered them from rockwall performance so its not the cheap stuff as on ebay. i probably should have went with a racing swingarm but all the ones i found were around 1000-1500 so i just decided to do the extentions. they are pretty solid tho so i feel pretty confident in using them
