Yes

If you have never done a track day before take note that the LSTD day on April 9 does not have a C or beginner group on that Friday race weekend.

depends on your experiance , what gear you have and budget. If you have leathers maybe lstd ,but like the guy said above since its a race weekend everybody is tossed into one group. If you dont know anything about body position or the track lines take Ridesmart 1st. Lstd is good after you've done a trackday. Plus leathers is free for 1st timers with Ride Smart plus free teaching. lstd is fun once you have some experiance because of the passing rules

For a first timer, I'd say Ride Smart. Its cheaper and classroom instruction is free. Plus you get free leathers and boot rentals if you need them.

And for the record, I ride them both. When I want to try and haul and be left alone, I go to Friday LSTD events and enjoy them thoroughly.

Research both, ask questions and make the best decision with the information made available.

For LSTD's info:
http://www.lstd.com/html/lstdschool.html

Bear in mind, quality comes with a cost, and value is determined by the benefit gained per dollar spent.

The LSTD Advanced Rider program includes a video review such as this one:
Fast forward to the 3:00 mark to see the video session with a novice CMRA racer.

Regardless of whom you choose, go forth with an open mind and an eagerness to learn. Your riding career can only improve with the knowledge and skills you gain along the way!

Make sure that you send an email to ridesmartcw@gmail.com, after you register at www.ridesmart.info, and ask them to reserve you a suit and boots.

See ya there if you make it out.

Do them all and have fun. BTW, i may have my leathers for sale if you get addicted after your track day and don't want to spend too much on them. They are motogp 44.

Most important thing is to have fun, everything comes later.
