A 250's track day performance...?

So has anyone actually taken a 250 out to do a track day?
I'm still slowly looking into getting over to the track.
Just thought I'd ask to see what the general opinion/experience is.
FYI, I'm more concerned with handling and cornering than speed.

I spent my first year of trackdays on an old 2005 ninja 250 and had a blast doing it. MSRH and GSS were fun tracks for the 250 ... though at MSRH the straights could be somewhat boring while everyone else zips by you ...

That's looking to be my next move, checking out the 250's. Lots for sale on CL at descent prices. Logan, I'm not all that interested in speed as much as the handling aspect of it, but I'm sure once I'm out there I'll prob change my mind.
Switch, that's a cool build you got going there. Might maybe have to pick up some pointers from you later.

they're a ton of fun

these bikes are a blast to ride.
call Road and Track or Motorcycles Unlimited to get your bike track ready.
Keith Hertell at Road and Track has gobs of miles on them and Patrick Hart at Motorcycles Unlimited can get you any race parts that you'll need too.
Good people with lots of knowledge and experience!

GrandSport Speedway is the friendlist 250 track in Texas. Come out Saturday before noon and you can ride your bike on our track and see for yourself.

You'll need a full face helmet, jacket, gloves, pants, and boots that cover the ankle.

Too many to list

If you want it to handle you need the forks done w/ emulators, springs and damping rod mods.(these are not always the same, and they are nothing like racetech recommends) Also a shock. I recommend Penske. Then the setup at the track to fine tune it.

I build many 250 race winning and trackday bikes so if you have any questions send me a PM.
