I usually wave.. One guy apparently took it as me wanting to race him. We came up to a red light and he was revving up his bike for the green light. The light turned green a he wheelied away as fast as he could.

Too bad he didn't see the cop behind us..

I wave when I see someone unless I notice them in a far lane. Then I just think, WWCKD, "What would Chatty Kathy do?"

Gotta defend us HD riders - we waive, just moving the hand out from the grips is all. I personally waive to as many as I feel safe doing. Not like I'm hunting for the "waive" button on a GW.

I wave to scooters/mopeds also...they're on 2 wheels just like us. I'll usually drop my hand down by my leg and chuck deuce...but I always feel like if I'm doing it in a curve and the other person waves back and loses control because they didn't have both hands on the bars I'd feel so bad.

Same here. I always ride behind the biker cops and feel "escorted" more or less...it's nice One time when I was first riding, I was hauling on 59S by Beltway 8 and a black biker cop was hauling behind me and then just stayed in my mirrors til I exited He didnt pull me over but that may be because he saw all the nonsense I had to deal with beforehand on 59.

I don't wave over the wall unless they do first, but If I see you I wave...even if I'm in my truck.
I hate it when I get deep into thought and miss a bike that I'm sure waved at me :(

I'll wave just about all the time, unless my attention needs to be somewhere else (like traffic conditions, or I may be in the middle of shifting gears).

It doesn't bother me one bit if they don't wave back. After all, maybe they had to place their attention on something else, too... or just simply forgot. But why care? Just enjoy your ride.
