Ya'll do realize that radar detectors can be mounted on bikes too, right??

There is a happy medium between never speeding and just running if caught.

And please don't give me the "radar detectors don't work" spiel. My pocketbook would disagree on a regular basis, especially since I now live out in the boonies.

You don't say? Interesting option. I use a cloaking device. It has only failed me one time in the past.

Agreed. I have the 8500 with a screemer. Saved me at least 5 or 6 times for sure, no ifs ands or buts.

Sorry!

I was almost pulled over one time on my bike. I came over a hill doing above the posted limit, and two guys behind me were hot on my tail. The cop waved me on, but pulled the other two over.

I guess a cop can issue a citation no matter where he is in relation to where you are, as long as he sees you in the act of breaking the law!

And with that said I really need to look into a radar detector. Challen what kind do you have?
<Hoping I don't get in trouble for being off topic>

I have a Escort 9500i with the 5 bright led attachment. I looked at the Valentine, but all of the reviews I found said that it has a ridiculous number of false alarms (security systems, etc.). The 9500 picks some of those up too, but with the push of a button, I can keep it from going off again from that particular sensor. I've had it for about 3 years now and it saves my weekly, especially on I10 and through the cities of Brookshire/Fulshear.

Disclaimer:
I mean, it would've saved my had I been exceeding the posted speed limit at the time.

Why he would make trouble for a bike going a bit fast on an HOV is beyond me... but I can see it being enforceable. Of course, I can also see it being more dangerous to go faster there, since there's no where to go if you have a hazard....

Must have been pretty high speed?

I saw the guy pass me, but traffic was pretty heavy, so I didn't *think* he was going that fast.
