A motorcycle in the HOV was pulled over

today about 3:30 by a pickup cop on the left shoulder of the mainlanes on hwy 59! I've never seen a cop in the mainlanes pull over a vehicle in the HOV. So, now I'll say it's possible. You're going to have to watch for cops on the other side of that conrete barrier.

Positive. The cop was sitting on the shoulder. When the bike passed he flipped on his lights and gunned it. He drove on the shoulder until he caught up with the bike; then the bike pulled over. No breakdown.

and the cop was NOT standing- he chased the bike on the left shoulder in his truck.

How else are they going to generate revenue? Tracking down stolen vehicles and stolen property is not a revenue generator...

a revenue generator would be for metro police to setup a check point along the hov to catch violators move them out of hov lane to issue them tickets, i know they do monitor the hov but i might see them out there every blue moon.

I have started seeing them out more and more; at least once a week on the 59 HOV in the mornings.

Me, too. It was obvious really quickly who he was going for.

I didn't stop to ask him... but I do assume speeding.

They don't like it when you ride wheelies on the HOV either.

Not that I would ever do anything like that...

Sucks. I ride HOV every day. Usually a fair amount about the posted limit. Now I'll have to be a little more careful.
