Brakes are super smooth after the caliper rebuild. The exposed part of the pistons had gunk built up on them. They weren't leaking, but I guessing that the small amount of fluid that gets past the seal would attract grime & dirt.

I was thinking about using some brake cleaner periodically to clean off the pistons (just the exposed part). Is this a good idea or will it eat the seals?
