Forest/390/3090 Wednesday, 3-17-2010

WHEN: Wednesday, March 17, 2010; Meet at 09:30AM. KSU at 10:00AM.

MEETUP: Texaco at 105/149, across the street from Valero

ROUTE: Some backroads after the forest, 390, and 3090. Lunch at Yankee's, then riding back.

PACE: Moderate; We will be going slightly above SL on the straights, hittin the twisties hot. We will wait at every intersection turn to have the group catch up.

GEAR: Please seriously consider about gearing up for the crash, not the ride. I personally won't turn a rider away for a ride, but think about the consequences of not having proper gear in the unfortunate event of a crash. A helmet, jacket, and gloves should be the minimum amount of gear. Sturdy over the ankle boots and knee/shin protection is also highly recommended. If you have a suit, wear it because you won't be the only one!

For those working weekends, on spring break, or just wanna play hookey at work, we may be getting a small group together for a ride on Wednesday, 3/17/2010. The route will probably consist of going through the forest and hitting 390 (NOT 3090), coming back out to 105 and heading back to 3090 to Yankees. If you have never been on these roads before, or have any questions/concerns about the route, please PM me beforehand.

Gas up before heading out, there aren't many gas stations out where we are riding. We'll probably have to top off in the middle of the ride out near the 390 area. Expect the ride to be approximately 3 to 4 hours. Cops are sometimes randomly patrolling the area on weekdays, so keep that in mind.

Weather as of now looks like a high of about 71 and sunny! It should be a nice day for a fun ride!

1. Ronin

That's awesome. Thank you. I'd like to go look at 390 again possibly Thursday. I went on the ride a couple weeks ago; that was my first time after a very long 2yrs or so. I'd end up in the lake it I plotted myself.

I might not be able to get the route to you until tomorrow, Cali. I just got forced into working even later tonight, and I'm gonna pass out when I get home. I'll definitely get it to you before Thursday. Be safe when slapping the three sisters, and give a double bish slap to 336 for me, lol.
