Thanks for your input and advice. Phoenix, if I have the time the way you did it sounds great. I have to admit that part of me just wants to see if I can do it in a day. I'm not some "iron bu##" wannabe, just need to break out of Houston for a day. I will minimize Interstate time no matter what. I've been on those roads you mention and that would be a great way to get out there.

Phoenix - Stonehenge II is on 1341, not hwy 39. 39 follows the south fork of the Guadalupe river and will intersect 187. 1341 follows the north fork and hits 41.

The Forest Gnomes are going to start the 3 sisters ride 1-2 times a month this summer; depending on distance covered, looking at 12hrs, 7-800miles.

i use to ride out there at the very least every other week before i moved to houston. i did it last month when i went back to visit, its the best riding in texas for sure.

i still know a lot of people that ride regularly out there and the cops sit in the same spots. usually only change it up every couple months, when the time gets closer i can find that out for the ss riders, cause they love to give us tickets.

id be down to plan a trip but no way id do it in one day. the ride back would be
