I'm in Clear Lake.

I usually can't make it to the meet-n-greets either. Working. I work a lot. If it weren't for commuting I'd never have time to ride. I went to one last year at Hooter's but that's been it.

It would be cool to see other SM's. I've only begun to mod mine. I just haven't decided what all I want to do to it.

For starters i'd invest in the FCR Carb for the sm. Like the one your E model has. Biggest bang for your buck.

I have a dirt ride tomorrow that will have me gone all day. If I can get a second kitchen pass for Sunday, I will try to make it.

Me and 3090 need to make nice again after the accident in early January.

I would say that's the right ball park. That particular KTM looks like a very good deal. If you go with an off-road only, you can get them much cheaper.

FWIW, I think Andy at Metric Motorcycleshas one sitting in his shop that he would probably sell. It's very nice as well. I think it probably just needs a set of tires, and it is not street legal. It's a CRF450 and on his website at

http://metricmotorcycles.com/projects.asp

I would love to have it, but I think I am pushing the wife's tolerance on the bikes right now.

Of course, you can always find them on supermotojunkie.com

used I'd say 3k all the way to 6k. Just depends.

If your looking for a street tard I'd say drz400sm, wr250x(but you'll want more power soon), ktm smc w/ the lc4 engine (625-640-690), or husqvarna 610sm. Those are my picks. The best resource I've seen for this is on supermotojunkie.

My KTM450SMR (RFS motor, not LC4) is my end all, be all. I couldn't be happier, so far it's been a keeper, and I change bikes quite often.

I can't complain about my KTM either. It is a SXC 625, converted. It is my first and only bike and I am still happy with it. It weighs the same as a drz400 but has a bit more pep.

I'm sure it is a keeper, I was just informing him about the lc4 engines which are more street oriented.

No argument from me on the LC4. I had the KTM 620 for a while that I sold to Tankmonkey, then I crashed it.....twice!

Mine was a left handed kick, that took a while to get used to, but then it was cool.
