I may have a bike soon. Giggity.
How much per race? I'd have to at least try one.

$5 transponder rental fee (or $20 to own one for the season)
$45 or 50 annual membership fee (or free if you race with any other organization in Texas)

after those fees are paid, it's $50 for the first class you race @ each race event. $35 for the second class...etc. For instance, I raced a 1 hour race at the first event....it cost me 50 bucks. This event I will be racing in 2 classes so it'll be 50 for the first class, 35 for the second class.

I should add that your $50 fee gets you a practice session prior to the race. So, if I choose to race in a Sunday race, there is a 1 hour practice session on Saturday that I am free to ride if I choose.

I don't think I'm gonna camp. My grandfather lives about 50 miles away near Groveton, so I'm gonna go visit with him and check out what's happening @ the local watering hole. I will be there Saturday (I'm considering signing up for over 30C in addition to riding Open D on Sunday) regardless to either "sweep" the kids races or for Sat. open practice which starts at 4 I think.

Let's hope the little precipitation in the forecast for Saturday moves quickly and doesn't stall over central texas. , if someone has a bike and just needs a ride up...I got room for a bike in my truck.

Course update!

Course is finished! Right at 9 miles. It is going to be a fast one. B rider speed 15-25 minutes MAX. Lots of open runs, Big Bike friendly! Some nice grass track sections, a few jumps up and down. plenty of trees, few creek crossings and the dirt is perfect right now. Lots of great spectator viewing as the course goes all around camp. Only one or 2 little mud crossings, nothing major. There are no easy/hards on this one! No tank crossings either! Just a fast, technical and fun flowing course! If you liked Brunesmll you will like this one.

Camp entrance is the second gate on the right and will be marked. Please watch for racers when you enter the gate. The course goes right by the entrance. Rider crossings will be marked.

Come on out early and enjoy the Spring Break, break!

FYI...weather forecast looks like showers for sure tomorrow...hopefully it won't be a wash out on Sunday, but rather a mudfest

I'll post up pics upon my return IF we race....check here for info before hauling out if you plan on attending.

You don't need a transponder. They are scoring with a barcode sticker that you put on the side of your helmet. They scan that each lap. Works just as well, and it is free!

Series membership is $25, but if you are a member of another off-road series then the fee will be waived.

The other prices are correct, however the practice is usually longer than an hour. It starts at or around 4:30 and is until dark, which is quite a bit now that it is spring.
