Arai Rx-7 Corsair question?!

I found a large Rx-7 corsair for sale for a pretty decent price used but in good condition but it's a large. Does anyone know if I can get it to a medium or even a small size feel if needed by changing the cheek pads?

Thanks MH!

Probably. They dont make shells for every size. The difference is usually made up in the pads.

usually large and XL arai lids are the same shell, so i dunno if larger cheek pads will get you down to a med. lid.

Arai large and Med share the same shell.
The difference in sizes is done through pads.
I have some old cheek pads for the corsair if you need some.
Not sure of the size.

eriderTX. . .do yourself a favor and check on the price of any/all replacement pads BEFORE you buy the lid. Those components might cost more than you think they should. FWIW, i miss my Corsair, it was a fine helmet!!!

Hey jetcycles, yeah i found some through some of the online bike stores and they typically range from about $25 - 30 bucks which I'm fine with. So the large is the same shell as a medium?

unfortunately, i do not recall that information from when I sold those lids. Find a good parts guy who knows his stuff and stick with him, good parts guys are hard to find!!!

This web page shows the med and Large share the same "lining code"
which I'm pretty sure means shell.

Thanks MH!
You can change both the interior pads and the cheek pads to go from large to medium as they have the same shell. You cannot go to a small as it is a different shell.
I keep a lot of the pads in stock.

Hey Patrick,

How much for the medium cheek pads and the interior pads? Do I even need the interior pads or will the cheek pads work only? Thanks.

Depends on what your head measures. Swing by when you get the helmet amd we can size you properly.
