I'm just curious why with so much bike theft more people don't take preventive measures. Maybe most people don't think it's gonna happen to them.
Sorry about your bike dude, it was a pretty nice looking ride. Btw... I thought it had already sold? Someone had posted "new owner".
No, no offense taken. Yeah you're right I should of taken measures to keep it safe, but like you said, we always expect it to happen to someone else but too bad we ourselves are someone else to everyone else. Yeah originally it was sold but I had to take it back because something happened with the title so we agreed to take money and bike back while I took care of that.

Thanks for the concern though!

My bike has a cable, disk lock, alarm (as of 2 days ago, woot) and is garaged. It could happen to me but, which would be an easier target?
or like you said, buy theft insurance.. dee de dee

Just found out today that I'm not covered under theft anymore...

Lesson to everyone: make sure you know what you're getting in insurance.

bro... very sorry to hear this.

It sure seems like half of the bikes reported stolen here didn't have any theft coverage and were parked outside.

Did they find your bike?
This would be one of those super rare instances.

Yes it is. Check the frame, you'll see where the lock goes into the holes on teh frame and secures the rack from turning.

Make sure there isnt any looseness in the tree head due to bending.
