Mudbugs post represents the typical salesmans attitude. . .even more reason to waste their time. If someone comes in and says "I want to check out this bike, but i don't want to buy it" the salesman should understand.

Yup... I have NEVER had a salesguy waste any of my time.

Ever.

If you do your job, ask the right questions, be a sound consultant, and earn their business you can get anyone to buy something.

Come on. You mean to tell me you have never had someone tell you at the end of the delivery, "I came in not planning on buying anything".

90 Percent has to do with you attitude BTW

Dreamer. . .if your profile was actually filled out to include your general location I could probably suggest a shop near you. Since it's not, I'll recommend stopping by Eximport (large selection of newer model used bikes) and On The Border in Pasadena. Both of these shops should have plenty of inventory on hand, just don't by from the rapists at Eximport!!!

Off Topic but. . .Anyone remember the "now hiring" thread where the Eximports moron stated he would only hire a female? The weak sauce mods pulled it within hours. . .too bad as it was good character info about that shop!!!

Ive gone in to dealerships before having pretty much done my homework, already have a loan and a general idea of how much I want to spend (vs how much I am able to spend). Salesguys size me up and pretty much ignore me till I have to call one out and then start getting lame and generic answers to questions I have.
SW Acura, Joe Meyers, Don McGill, Gillman Honda and Mitsubishi, and both the Acura and Honda dealers on 45 S. The Mazda dealer on I-10 near Beltway was the latest. Once they find out I already have a loan from my credit union, the smiles and promises are endless.
One guy even gave me a fist bump and called me "vato". LOL... nice.
I'm not trying to talk anyone down, just that's really been my experience.
