Wow!!! I'm glad your OK. That could have been much worse. I bet your sore as . (knock on wood). Is that the first time to go down on a dragstrip? I see vids of it, but it seems few and far between. Most I have seen seem to be getting on the brakes before the line.

, didn't see that coming. Very weird to see a bike just lay down seemingly out of nowhere.

Glad you're ok

That sucks. Not something you would expect to happen for sure. It is interesting that when you lose traction that the wheel gyro effect won't keep you up for long. I saw the same thing in an AMA wet race one time. Really quick to go from riding to sliding.

I was at MSRH on Saturday and a rider a little way in front of me had a coolant hose blow and it emptied all his coolant in about 5 seconds going down the straight and as soon as he went into the carousel he immediatly low sided from the fluid on his rear tire. He had no idea why he went down until I told him he crashed on his own fluids. At first I thought his engine blew but the vapor dissipated quickly so it was steam and not oil smoke. He was running glycol though so it was a little iffy but fortunately he was mostly off line when it blew.
