HRP is the track in Baytown. 1/4 mile requires full leather to go faster than 120. Most 600's will break 120 in the 1/4. If you dont have full leather you can still go. You just have to let out before the line. They will send you to tech if you break out. You will still get to run. You will just get a warning.

I will answer any questions I can if your on the fence about going for one reason or another. I ask that you read the website first though.

Okay, I looked at the site. I do not own full-leathers, but I have another question. With a stock K8 Hayabusa, is there anything you need to do to the bike? For instance, for the Texas Mile, you have to safety-wire several items. Anything like that required at HRP?

Must have kill switch and chain guard. Buy a key lanyard @ wallyworld for $2 and screw it into your red on/off switch. Leather boots/shoes above the ankle and full leathers if over 120mph.

I cant find the pic that shows the kill switch. I will never drill another hole in the rocker switch. I have a spiral (that hooks to my sleeve) lanyard with velcro on it. The other side of the velcro is on the rocker. Its really just for looks. If you gonna do it more than once do yourself a favor and get the front end strap from schnitzracing.com

It can be done on a 6. I was stuck at 11.0 on a 6. If your strapped, geared, and dont weight 220+ you should be able to do it with some seat time.
