Happens to many of us. Myself included. And yes, for the most part, we get a citation. It's our responsibility to keep an updated insurance card on us. He was just doing his job.

That's true. I respect what they do but it would be different if he pulled a few stunts and then fell down, but when you pull into a parking with a hundred people and then instantly loop your bike so bad it does like two revolutions before your touches the ground...too funny. No one was hurt so no harm no foul but I still get to giggle.

True.... True.... It's the successful stunting that you see in all the videos that I couldn't do. I could probably endo, loop, high side and low side with the best of 'em! I choose not to even try since, at almost 45, things hurt a lot more than they used to!

Hey Dave , Yeah I kinda thought that was you. Part of the fun was trying to match (people and bikes) with (Avatars and names) from MH. I had a great time and met ton's of new people on the ride before I headed over to the Loading Dock off of 25th and then back to Palapas in Kemah .

As for the not being on a public roadway... c'mon lmao. He didn't sleep at the gas station and have his bike delivered there. Should he have told the cop that he wasn't on a public road way? No. Then you got a off cop who now is looking even harder for stuff to pin on you and he's gotta wait for you to leave and you don't want to. So, after some wasted time, you leave and now he's gotta pull you over and do everything again.

Not defending the cop, and had you been issued a fine or something, I would bring it up in court that you weren't on a public roadway and he never saw you break the law.

With all that said, I am still very curious about the whole running plates/tags to see if you are insured.
Ok, I'm a little late to the conversation... But chew on this. The sergeant got a call, as he explained to you. He checked around, and found a lame citation that was an easy fix, issued the citation giving him a workable disposition to the call to end the incident and took off. And you guys are ?

Sounds like a gimme to me, he knew the call was lame, issued an equally lame citation that you can get fixed... and folks wanna bust . dammit. He should have towed your .

Exactly what questions did you ask that he couldn't inform you? sounds like he did answer from what you wrote, call the county clerk?? I'd bet that at least one question was how much is the ticket? Don't know is an answer. Probably because he didn't know, ya know? Judges and clerks handle alot of stuff that the officers arent involved in.

Guess folks never heared the saying don't look a gift horse in the mouth?

True, the cop obviously had to do something to appease the person that called and complained...
