7th Annual SportBike Extravaganza

Hi MotoHouston!

I've been away for quite a while with Family issues and Land Speed Racing But I figured I better drop in and get everyone up to date on Texas largest SportBike Rally. Last year attendance was down(blame the economy) we had just under 1000 bikes show up. We are hoping to see everyone make it out this year. So, here's whats going on.

FamilyPowerSports.com is bringing out their new portable Dyno for a top Horsepower shootout and Charity Dyno runs. So all you Big Gun bring those Bad Bikes lets see what you got! For the first time there will be Vendors there so buying patches gear helmets etc etc is an option.
FREE is still our favorite price! No charge to get in! Free camping! Free to enter the stunt show! There will be raffle tickets on sale, and Dyno runs will be on a donation basis also. All proceeds go to the Iraan Senir Citizens Center and the Widow and 2yr old son of "Busa Dave" Hardy who died of Liver Cancer recently.
For a look at the action here is a link to our Facebook page with tons of pics and Videos.

Here's a new flier from one of my Racing Sponsors he made this for the Rally Special thanks to George from ExtremeBusa.com!
It would be a huge favor to us if you could either print a few of these and drop them in local bike shops or if you could copy them and pass them on to your friends that ride.
Thanks bunches!

Things are looking pretty good just scored two front wheel Trailer chocks, some swing arm buttons a few other things for Raffle items. Looks like Troy from Strapless stands is coming down. Do a search on this Guy and check his product out! It's about the coolest quickest easiest bike loading/transport system out there right now and the price is right! Tell him we sent you for a discount! Nice to meet some of you Houston Guys on FaceBook!

Christian Motorcyclists Association gave us a call this morning they are going to be there helping with the Rally and passing out some paper on their new "Fast Lane" Program, Sounds pretty interesting. I think it's along the lines of the CMA's Charter but set up for SportBike Riders and Racers? Not really sure but interested in finding out!
for those who are interested I'll attach a mileage map. Brent Von Aschen will be there installing Alarms, LED's and Trickle Chargers.
Have another great vendor bringing in Patches stickers and doing snap and Zipper repairs!
The Catholic Church has asked if they could come out and sell something to help pay for their building, of course I said yes. I'm still trying to get my Nitrous squared away at the last minute. what else drove to Iraan yesterday to make arrangements there. Heading out to FamilyPowerSports.com in Odessa to pick up Raffle items in a bit.
I'll keep everyone in the loop!

Right now I think I'm leaving Friday early and ride out, spend the night and hangout Saturday, then ride back to Kerrville for the night. Home on Sunday.

You know guys I realize that it's a pretty long drive for everyone, but I even have a girl riding in from Albuquerque! Here's the thing, this is a little bitty middle of nowhere town but they are so happy to have our $$$$ that they will tolerate 1000 SportBike Riders taking the town over for one day. Also while there are other bigger Rallies all over the state this is still the ONLY one specifically for SPORTBIKES. There is a Motel in town

http://www.trailwestlodge.com/book.htm

And like most of Iraan they may grumble a little but they pretty much tolerate fit all for the $$$$. Last year she complained at checkout about late hours,Depp throat contest, dancing in the truckbed and drinking in the Parking lot and my Husband said "No Sweat Next year we will stay in the NEW hotel 28 miles away and take our friends there". OH NO's!!!!
She INSTANTLY changed her attitude! hahahah The Rally is the only day all year when the Motel fills up so like everyone else they want to see us back every year. Like I said alot of cities most likely would NOT tolerate some of the things that go on but due to it's remote location and poor economy they put up with alot.
Speaking of alot,,,, Iscored some gear for the Raffle!
A few more Helmets and T-Shirts and a special something from my Friend Leslie Porterfield"The Worlds Fastest Woman on a Motorcycle" and the Owner of High Five Cycles in Dallas. If you want to know what it is tho, you'll have to come to the Rally!

Well I ordered the shirts today, I think they should go pretty well, WARRANTY KILLER
You know that guy that just can't leave things alone even tho they are still under Warranty and fooling around with ANYTHING is probably going to void the Warranty. Yeppers this shirt is for him! It also says WARRANTY KILLER in bold letters on the front. I only ordered 55 Shirts this year because $$$ is pretty tight for us right now. I'm pretty sure they will sell out almost IMMEDIATELY. So if your coming better make getting a shirt the FIRST thing you do when you show up.

Team? Heck we can't afford no stinkin teams! hahahahah We have a few local up and coming stunt teams no pro's, this year. I did talk to Patrick Stephans and he made us a great offer but we just don't have the funds this year to do that.
