I have owned ( 4 ) 2006 GSXR 1000's and i have ridden the 07's...

in my opinion, the 07 does not have the power the 06 does down low. but they are both great bikes... i really dont like the split tank on the 07's or the ABC mode...

as far as faster... it comes down to rider...

On paper the '06 is probably a bit faster as the exhaust isn't catalyzed. In the real world............it really doesn't matter.

yeah, the difference would probably be indetectable by anyone save for a very skilled rider.

the K6 (2006) has a more aggressive power delivery than the 2007.
Bit like comparing the 98/99 R1 with the 2000/2001 model.

But Jason isn't fast..

I put a race fit exhaust on an 07 that eliminated the cat & with a good tune it felt quite a bit quicker than the previous generation.

Not that the 06 doesn't already have more power than 99% of anyone can ever use.

Well on paper the 07 makes more tq/hp so if your talkin straight line the 07 will probably win by a little.
