This is more close to home in the zx14 forums. It does make a different in the first 5 gears on a zx14. This issue has been debated on like crazy.

You can romove the flies but then you difintly need a tune.
Or you can buy Ivans TRE which will keep the flies open for you no mechanicle work necessesary. Still need a tune.
Power commander alone wont cut. But I could be wrong. Just type in google search. Flys vs TRE and your should have plenty of info at your finger tips.

Of course I can only speak for the zx14 on this matter. I have no need to do it to my zx10. Gxrs I doubt would need all that BS because its a well thought out design with no need for anything else but a good pipe and power commander. Kawasaki's shoot for horsepower and thats why its all complicated.
