It wouldn't pull up in third before the sprockets and stoll won't now even with clutch I just hardened up the rear suspension so ill see what happens but still feel a power loss somewhere

I think you need someone to ride it that may know a little more about the bike then rolling the throttle.

If there is a sound problem it should be pretty obvious; even if your air filter is restricted w a kroger bag.

Hey guys I ride with rick all the time on my f4i, and he can't out run me by a whole lot in a straight line. So there is def a power problem on his bike. There was one day before he did the sprocket swap that he had a very tough time clutching it up in second and I
Know that bike should just power it up in second like butter. The problem is it runs super smooth and does not throw any codes at all.

If he can't run all over an F4I there is a problem. If there is a PC on it unplug it and try.

Cover the rear brake doesnt mean you should be pressing it

give it to someone w some knowledge then if you dont have an idea if the clutch is slipping or if its running too lean/rich.

rick sounds like it you need to hand the keys over to caligonetx there. I would be very interested to know what some of these experienced riders would have to say about the ole gixxer.

1) make sure the clutch lever has a small amount of play in it so the clutch isnt slipping from a tight cable.

2) check the oil and see if there are shiny particles in it.

Any noises/rpm skipping/smell etc? Either you're too lean(popping intake), rich(fuel smell) on and on.

Air filter clean? Is it original? After 10k miles you could be choking the engine. If its been a few years + mileage you're killing performance.

Has the bike sat? Check your fuel. If this has happened since the last fill up, drain the tank, run a seafoam agent and refill w a TopTier gas.

Throttle opening all the way? check your freeplay in the throttle grip housing and since you're at the airbox, check the linkage.

----Take it to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited
