I'm going to make room for my car in my garage. I need to move about 5 boxes up to the rafters.

I'm also going to buy a little BBQ pit, and more ammo.

dont think that it will get like New orleans , do you? hehehe..
A little life, auto, and property insurance check would also be on the list of things to get in order.Valuable paperwork needs to be taken care of too.

I'm in a 2nd floor apt with a garage underneath. So my vehicles are good and i'm not worried about flooding. I'll probably buy a candles, flashlights, batteries, canned goods, just incase. But I think we are far enough inland that we'll be ok, unless it is a HUGE cat 5 hurricane. In that case i'd leave and visit my cousin in college station.

Probably buy some plywood, batteries and stock up on non-perishable groceries and more bottled water.

I was pretty set last year with my generator etc. We were out of power for 36 hours.

The only thing I will do differently this year is have more fuel on hand if a hurricane is headed this way. I didn't run out last year but it was close!

I have a 3600 watt craftsman. I was running my house and my neighbors house with a long extension cord. They had a 3 week old baby at the time and needed to keep meds and formula cool. The 3600 watt ran both our homes fridge, lamps, fans, tv's etc. It runs about 12 hours on 4 gallons.

I'm gonna get me some Plylox http://www.plylox.com/ and some wood. I'm a fast food junkie so I usually don't have much in the pantry. Luckily when my mom and sister got evacuated last year, they brought all their food with them to my house. I would have starved to death. lol

I'd also like to get a generator, but the kind that plugs into the houses electrical system. Even though I had a generator last year to keep the fridge and stuff going, I need my freaking AC during those humid days. I get cranky when it's muggy. :eh:

My house's fencing was destroyed and so was a wall worth of side paneling. The insurance didn't cover it and claimed it was done prior to the hurricane. So, it's picture taking and house appraisal season.
