The BMW MODE HP

Rain mode 155HP
Standard mode 185HP
Race mode 190HP
Slick mode 191HP

you can buy a Key from BMW that you plug in the ECU to unlock Slick Mode.

The Red Line is 14,200RPM

under the 4th picture they talk about it here
http://www.thebikergene.com/sportsbi...-2010-s1000rr/
At the other end of the scale is “slick mode” - which you can only select if you’ve got a special dongle plugged in under the seat.

the bike comes with the key, it's not plugged in, you have to take the seat off and manually plug it in

It might also play with the traction control.

Im sure they have a key so if a rider with a lack of skills wants the power in the "most raw, responsive and aggressive way" It lies onto the Rider and not the bike.

that red plug is the 'key' crappy pic from my phone but you get the idea and from what the mag said it comes with the key you just have to take the seat off and plug it in yourself..

Changes the usual controls to make the bike more responsive and not as forgiving.
