How to make sure bike is legit

Ok, I'm attempting to purchase a used motorcycle today from a dealership but being that I don't know much about bikes yet, I want to have it inspected by someone who does. Whats the best way to go about it because I know they won't let me bring the bike anywhere myself and I they aren't really willing to bring it all the way over here without a guarantee that I will be buying it. They have told me that they took it to their own mechanic and everything is fine. If I do buy it and soon after find there's something major wrong with it, are there any laws or anything that will allow me to take it back without penalty? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm is it a used car dealership? Talk to Patrick over at motorcycles unlimited and see what he suggests.

Or ask if someone on here will go with u. I'm sure someone can help u out.... Dinner and a beer might help

I would go with u to check it out but I'm in Nebraska ATT

What dealership is it? Some go the extra mile to take care of their customers, others don't.

If they say the bike is in good condition, then they shouldn't have any problem giving your money back to you, within a reasonable period of time after purchase. Have Patrick check it out after you buy it and if something is wrong with it, take it back. Make sure you get this "limited warranty" in writing though.

FYI, I just traded my 09 CBR600RR ABS model in at Stubbs. 9,8XX miles and in excellent (like new) condition because I'm about my stuff. Bike always garaged unless my was on it. Akrapovic slip-on installed by "Mondo" at Stubbs is the only mod. If interested ask for Chris Green at Stubbs and be sure to tell him that Bevo sent you. He'll hook you up

Ask them to warranty the bike for a day, a few days, or even a week. Anything is negotiable, just get it in writing.
