Thanks for the comments everyone, stupid rear cylinder doesn't seal too well so the leak is throwing the sound off but it sounds much better. Realy deep and mean sound

from the header to the port on the head?

they sell differnt thickness fabric style gaskets for car header gaskets, fo find one that has the correct shape port hole and just get the thinnest one they offer, should help seal it right up.

It's from the header to the rest of the exhaust, on the rear cylinder. The exhaust, not header is bout 1/8 in. too big, I got a ubolt clamp on it now and it's doing ok, but u can still hear it.

Took it round the block last night, thing sounds crazy deep

might try going the other way; pull the stub off the head and use a tailpipe expander on it to swage it up a little.

i would except for the part where its a pita to get to and its a 12 yr old bike with 37, i run the risk of snapping those bolts off cuz they are seized in. i see it happen all the time wrenching on cars.

that and there is hardly any space to get in there. it can still be done, i would just have to take out the swing arm, subframe, rear suspension etc...

ahhh I thought it was a new "to the bike" system you just installed. The exhaust isn't that hard to get to; I've messed with a couple Tillers. The rear is a pain but can be done.
