Need some track day advice

Hi guys,

I have just moved to Houston not too long ago and would like to get back to doing track days again. Problem is, I dont have a truck and I dont think I will be here long enough to justify buying one.

Anyone has any ideas on efficient methods for transporting bikes for track sessions? (eg. any car rental companies that offers trucks with ramps etc.)

From experience, I know it aint the best idea to ride to track days given the things that may happen during the session and also the preparation and stuff required beforehand...

Happy to hear anyone who has any thought. Thanks!!

Cheers

+1, this past friday track day i needed a last minute copilot, i didn't find anyone so i went by myself but it all went good, eventhough i was willing to give half a day free at the track to that copilot but i wasn't going to post that .

Just post Up, more than one will have room, is a good way to make friends as well.

You can put a hitch on your car and rent a motorcycle trailer for about $16 a day from U Haul.

I can add you to my list . I don't like to go to the track alone so normally i go with someone, i have a truck and trailer so i can always add 1 or two bikes besides mine. When my main guys can't make it i look for someone and i can work something out with the LSTD boss in exchange of a copilot to the track.

i live about 2 minutes from downtown. Would love to go, but i have just moved here - recently got my bike and am not sure if it will be track legal

Are the regulations here regarding bikes strict? Like do i have to do a lot to my bike before i bring it to the track?

Cheers guys!

dont think there are many restrictions. tape your lights and mirrors and have working hand controls and rear brake and your good to go.
