NEED ADVICE!!!!

In about three weeks im going back to NM. its 15 hours from here and for the first early hours Im wanting to put the bike in back of the truck we are gonna rent. But the tail has to come down for the bike to fit. With the right tie downs and doing it the right way, you guys (and gals) think there would be any problem on the way?

Any other suggestions? (besides riding the whole 15 hours)

Get a Cycle Cinch for the bars and 2 high quality tie down straps. A Baxley chock is nice but not necessary.
Depending on the truck, you might want to put a piece of wood between the front wheel and the truck bed if it's thin.
