He was also telling bobby about sometimes hes just wearing jeans when he rides and his knee will touch but he just keeps with it...

I was looking off hoping he'd walk away when he was speaking so I missed a good 5 minutes of conversation.

Maybe bobby could chime in here soon.

My favorite was when I was working in the Rio Grande Valley. I showed up at a bike night gathering on my 1994 Ducati 900 SS/SP. Guy walks up and asked if I had raced the Busa there yet. I asked "Why would I do that? My bike tops out at 135, I would get smoked in a straight line or top speed"

He said he knows about Ducati motorcycles (and I quote) "They got no redline esse!" and I could whip the busa if I could ride the Duc.

I asked if he was talking about the Desmo drivetrain and how the valves are mechanically opened and closed, so you theoretically can't "float" them. "No", he says.

I tried to explain the idea of a redline in any engine, he stood firm, "They got no redline, esse." We all still will say that when "THAT GUY" shows up anywhere.

Ended up thanking him for informing me about my bike I had owned for a few years. Good laugh.

I just get my fair share of "I didn't know that Triumph was still making motorcycles." Then politely listen to their 'back in the day' stories...

Bobby(otra599) and myself were chilling one night at Rookies after duci22 and his wife left.

Never fails, some guy comes up an asks if we ride(note helmet on table) then "whatcha ride."

I said I had a 250 outside. Then it comes... "ya I got a (spelled out) GSXR 750, I drag knee on it, wear my full one piece but I also got a two piece whenever I ride."

Bobby: "You sound like our type of rider. Come ride with us sometime, we're always out."

Guy: "Ya I like to drag knees. I ride up in college station all the time at the track."

Me: "Really? TWS (Texas World Speedway)? With what organization?"

Guy: "What?"

Me, slow and direct words "Which or-gan-i-zation do you ride with?"

Guy: "Um... man I dont remember."

I look away.... Bobby laughs but keeps talking to him.

Guy: "How you liking to 250? You think you'll get a bigger bike?"

Me: "I have four."

Bobby: "You should see him at the track. He's got a busa he's raised and he still drags the timing covers on the track."

I pull out my phone and start searching for a pic. About 3 minutes go by and I show it to him. His smile drops and he says "that's pretty low."

He got real quiet real quick. I offered him to ride w me Saturday, and again w the group on Sunday. Said we'd love for him to come visit motohouston and ride with us regularly.

apparently something that needed his urgent attention was happening back at his friends.

Gosh I love being sober at bars.
I talked to you at the bar once. it was the night Mayweather and JMM fought... You blew off as if I annoyed you. I was just pondering what and were yall rode is all..

I think it was the mayweather fight... Might of been a ufc night.. iv drank sense...

I usually get something along the lines of them getting on a 600 for the first time
and going 200 mph...

I'm not the type to call people on their BS so I'll just say the speedo probably needed to be calibrated.
