Buddie, If there was anyway I could just start on the track I would. I have no problem admitting I am scared to ride on the roads. I am sure I sound like a chicken but it scares me - the way people drive, texting, eating putting on makeup, etc. not to mention road conditions and whatever other factors.

Cali is right though, Honea-Egypt being right by my house, the road has tons of speed limit signs and it is a busy road in the summer time for people like myself pulling boats and lake toys. Numerous times we have been passed by bikes wanting to get around us and I cannot believe where some people WILL pass.

I ahve a buddy who lives off 2854 and we ride Honea all of the time. Sad to see but this road can get you in trouble especially if you're unfamiliar with it. Add alcohol to the equation and you're asking for trouble.

RIP

Anything can happen, whether drunk, high or ridden the track before. Just looks like this guy had a bad day, and wont be able to come back and repeat it. Maybe just maybe if he had a helmet on he would still be alive to talk about it. But as his luck would have it no such luck.

RIP to the rider
You also need the track for evasive manuvers. The more track time you have the more you trust your bike and realize it can do a number of things you thought it couldnt, especially in a emergency type of situation.

I'm with u bro this dude was a idiot and sealed his own fate. Let's move along ppl nothing to see here. Drug addicts-alcoholics on any amount of wheels don't deserve a RIP thread. No MSF or track org could of teached this guy anything. It's called common sense so stop with the msf track comments

my buddy and i saw the aftermath of the wreck after we were returning from 3090. Just by passing the wreck, you could tell that there was no way anyone survived that. Pieces of the bike were everywhere. It looks like he was coming into the turn too hot and froze, locking up his rear wheel (giant black strip leading to the accident).

Condolences to the rider's family.

There will always be those that 'break the rules' (ie. no alcohal, no drugs, wear a helmet at least and etc.) and get away with such behavior...for awhile.

LoL at this turning into a track debate. Let's all just be thankful that this moron killed himself before he could hurt anyone else.

it sure was. kinda makes you appreciate life.

Few mins later we got pulled over by the forest leo...during his little speeding spiel, he mentioned the crash. He said that there was alcohol involved and something about doing CPR on the rider.

R.I.P. Rider, thanks for the lesson of what can happen from bad decisions.
Sucks a nice bike was jacked and sport bike riders are poorly represented.

My biggest fear is to be out riding a twisty and some jackass like this comes into my lane and hits me head on.

I am sad to hear of any death, whether motorcyclist or not, but what he was doing was unacceptable... and he paid the price. Thankfully no one else had to be a part of it.
