3 Sistas Spring Break Run.... Gauging Interest

The Idea:

We RIDE.... yes... RIDE to Austin and ride the 3 sistas plus....

Not exclusive though, if someone wishes to trailer or take their truck it could be very, very beneficial lol.

Monday the 15th would be our day to pack up etc, Leave out early Tuesday morning the 16th. 17th/18th ride the three sisters, 18th night, 19th and 20th casual riding/nightlife etc.

Bring all your gear, a small backpack w necessities. I can bring a cable lock; my bike does have an alarm; if anything really expensive is coming with us we can park it in the motel room.

We plan to ride the sisters early so when people get flat tires/coolant leaks etc we can fix them as needed and not be scrambled to come back.(yeah to my 250 w air cooling )

No plans for motel etc yet... I say we play it as it goes. I do have family that have a house somewhere on the Northside of the area if need be. Im fine w sleeping on the floor when we do infact sleep lol.

Any takers?

I might be down for this. When we went in the fall, coyote ranch has really nice cabins with showers, for only like 50 a nite, might be less

I figured after all the riding we would need a day to recover before work on Monday.

I have the time off because of the canceled SB river trip. So Im trying to do something since I havent had a planned vacation in about 5 years.

how about camping at the river w bikes?

Im up for that too.

Regardless, I took the time off. I even thought about doing a buns-of-steel ride to Cali and back on the bike. But I'd need tires waiting for me on return. And that would be some hard miles.

i wouldn't stay in austin if you're riding the sisters. shoot for leaky or whatever that other town is.

and i hope you're not planning on leading a 'noob ride' out there. those roads are no joke, its not like you're out playing on 3090. if noobs crash on the yankees ride, they'll probably die out on the sisters.

remember the really steep uphill before the frio canyon stop? fck that turn. blind uphill right hander with a rock wall in front you you, then a downhill left hander with a lake to worry about. i thought the bike and i were gonna take a dip...did i mention the narrow, super steep CONSECUTIVE (one uphill and one downhill) 'laguna seca corkscrews' on the way to coyote ranch?

roller coasters were pretty wicked
